What I’m Loving Now

Today I’m doing a different type of post & sharing some
things I’m loving now – not all of these are fashion &
beauty related, but I thought it would be a fun way to highlight my
current favorite finds & share some more personal tidbits with
you.  Let me know in the comments section (or on social media) if
you like this type of content – I just might make it a recurring
monthly series!

Have you checked out the new arrivals in the home section at
Target recently?  There’s so many good finds and I’m
constantly adding items to my wish list!  Being a neutral lover,
the pieces in this collection are perfect for incorporating into
our current living space.  Right now they’re offering an extra
10% off select items with code HOME – I just
ordered a few of the throw pillows pictured above, this woven canister & I’m
also intrigued by this
weighted blanket

sweater shaver

Most sweaters will end up with some amount of pilling if
you’ve owned them for a while.  And, even though I wash most of
mine on the delicate cycle & hang dry them, I had several that
needed a little extra TLC this year.  I was previously using a
sweater stone to correct this problem, but I found that it was too
harsh for some of my finer knits & cashmere.  So, I ordered
this battery-powered sweater
& it is probably the best purchase I’ve made all
winter.  This handy little device is a game-changer for completely
removing pilling & lint – it literally makes your sweaters
look brand new again.  Not only is it lightweight & easy to
use, there’s something so satisfying about the process of
transforming something in just minutes.  Before I ordered, I read
through the reviews and there were several people who used it on
their couches & rugs with great success too.  At under $20,
it’s a simple way to extend the life of your favorite pieces for

Revlon One-Step Hair DryerWhile
we’re on the topic of time-saving products that will make your
life easier, I have to share about this incredible tool!  One of my
friends recently shared on Facebook about it & I was very
interested – then, when I saw a couple other bloggers showing how
it works in their InstaStories, I knew I had to order it!  This is
similar to the Dyson AirWrap in the way it works, but it costs much
less.  Because my hair is naturally curly, I was worried it
wouldn’t work as well for me, but I was amazed by how flawlessly
it straightened my strands + left my hair soft & shiny, while
adding much-needed volume (plus, it cut my drying time in half!)
A few of the reviews stated that the oval brush was too large for
them – I found it to be just right for my hair length, but some
mentioned this style
working better.

Almay Lip Vibes

I receive a lot of PR beauty packages and, as a result, I’m
constantly testing out new products to share with you.  But, if
I’m being honest, very few make the cut & are good enough to
get an endorsement from me & earn a spot in my cabinet.  When
this lipstick collection
landed on my doorstep, I was eager to try them out because I
haven’t seen a new launch from Almay in a while (fun fact: they
were the first beauty brand I collaborated with back in 2013).
Not only is the packaging so fun, the colors are gorgeous and,
thanks to a Shea Butter/vitamin E blend, the formula is super
hydrating.  My top color picks: Treat Yourself (a cherry red), Eat
Cake (a Barbie pink), Be Strong (a deep rose), Get Crazy (a
gorgeous burgundy) & Love Yourself (a dark brick red).  Right
now, when you spend $15 on Almay products, you’ll get free Eye
Makeup Remover Pads with your order (I’ve used these for years
& they are the best!).

Kids StitchFix

As most of you know, I’ve partnered with
in the past & absolutely loved their service.
So, when I heard they added a kids box (offering sizes 2T-14), I
was anxious to give it a try for my son.  As you can imagine,
clothes shopping with a 10-year-old boy is not the most enjoyable
activity – he is super opinionated & HATES going to the
fitting room to try things on.  When I told him about this option,
he was really excited to sit down with me to fill out his style
profile.  We were also able to set the price points that we felt
the most comfortable with for each garment of clothing, so I knew
what we received would fit within my budget.  So far, we’ve
gotten two boxes and he’s loved every single thing (the only
items we’ve sent back were due to sizing/fit issues).  If
you’re a mom who has a picky kid or you don’t have time to drag
them to the mall, I highly recommend checking it out (side note:
they also have a men’s box now

Tortoise Hoops //
Round Rattan Bag (also in

Woven Basket Bag (love
this one too!) //
Coin Necklace // Tortoise Cage Clutch

You know how some stores just fall off your radar for no
apparent reason?  I was at the mall with my daughter a couple
weeks ago, trying to find some jewelry to go with her dress for an
upcoming school dance, when we wandered into Francesca’s.  I’ll admit
that I haven’t been inside their store in ages, so I was
pleasantly surprised to discover that they’ve seriously upped
their game!  Although they do have some cute clothing (like
this crochet blouse,
this pointelle sweater
& this maxi cover-up
), what really caught my eye was their accessories, which
I thought were such great quality for the price.  This cage clutch is a
near-identical dupe for this
designer version
& also comes in burgundy, green, yellow & marble.  I also loved this suede tassel clutch – the
blush pink is even more gorgeous in person!  Right now, they’re
offering 30% off when you buy 2 or more full-price items (discount
taken at checkout).

Tracy Anderson DVD Set

I’ve gotten into a bit of a rut with my workout routine and
one of my goals for 2019 is to challenge myself to try new things
& mix it up a bit.  I’ve done Tracy Anderson’s Mat Workout
for the past few years (which I highly recommend), but after
hearing about this new program and reading the rave reviews, I
couldn’t wait to order it.  There are several different options
for this DVD, so you want
to order the one that’s designed for your specific body type –
I bought Hipcentric, which is for those with a pear shape.
There’s also Glutecentric, Abcentric & Omnicentric, depending
on how you carry your weight.  I love that the workouts are only
30 minutes & that the routine changes every 10 days so it keeps
your muscles challenged.  It can be a little difficult at first
because she doesn’t give a lot of movement cues, but the more you
do it, the more you get used to her style.  I’m just starting
out, but I’ll be sure to update you on my thoughts & results
as I continue with the program!
